YAESU FTM-350

General

The Remoterig system supports the Yaesu FTM-350. The technical solution is the same as for

all the other rigs with detachable control panel. You can remote control the radio over

Internet from the control panel without any PC. We simply replace the cable between the

control panel and the radio with two RRC-1258 units, one at the control panel and one at the

radio. When you push the PWR-ON button an audio and data connection is established

between the units and you control the radio as you do normally with the control panel directly

attached to the radio.

Hardware configuration

The FTM-350 is supported by the Remoterig RRC-1258MkIIs from version 5 as it needs dual

audio support.

The small built in speakers in the control panle can not be used, separat speakers has to be

connected direct to the Control-RRC speaker jack.

As the mic levels between the control panel and the radio is very different compared to other

(much higher) a small mod must be donet to the Radio-RRC pcb. A 10K resistor has to be

mounted in parallell with R71. This is done quite easy, see picture below.
